ETC Program Helped Family in England

Dear Barbara and Lorie,

I have finally managed to write this letter, because after a year and a half of dry night I can now believe that my son is cured of bedwetting. For years we had been told that Joe would grow out of his bedwetting. We had attended numerous bedwetting clinics, not to mention the drugs he was given, and yet the bedwetting continued.

Out of desperation for myself having to do the copious amounts of washing and for Joe not being able to go on sleepovers with his mates, I started searching the internet. At first then the Enuresis Treatment Center came up I dismissed it thinking that being in America it would be unsuitable for us. However it soon became apparent that there is very little help out there for bedwetting children, and all the advice I found was that same as I had already tried. So I clicked back on to the nobedwetting site and stated to read. I was amazed to read that Joes problem was possibly a sleep disorder, as he had all the problems listed in the website. Reading the testimonies from other parents around the world I realized that this was what we needed for Joe. So the call was made.

We were allocated Lorie as our bedwetting counselor, and from the start we built up a good rapport over the phone. Our appointments were always made at a time that was suitable for us to ring, taking into account the time difference. We were able to pass information over the internet and download forms which were needed. These in turn could be faxed back. So my concerns about the center being in America were unfounded, as everything could be done by phone or internet.

Within the first month we noticed an improvement with Joe. For me that amount of washing was reducing! After a year of treatment we suddenly realized that we hadn’t had a wet bed in a while. A major milestone for us!

The big change for Joe is that now he can go round to his mates for sleepovers, and go camping with them. We have also noticed a big improvement in his school marks, which have gone from C to A’s. he now feels that he may be able to achieve his dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot. Maybe one day he can fly out and thank you in person for helping him to achieve this dream.

We cannot thank you enough for the support that was given to us and Joe, to cure him of his bedwetting. I only wish there were more centers like yours around the world to help other children like Joe.
